Gracing a hallowed soul with your breath,
as it warms the deep of the halls unending,
as it softly sleeps itself to death.
Cradling a young heart with time on its hands,
gently caressing the layers of doubt and misfortune,
soothing all where it lands.

Beating and throbbing.
A heavy pounding from within as the stress,
it builds,
and the pressure so huge,
the spirit condenses.
Hardened, solid.
A monolith, a monument to hard times.
What is this spirit now?
But a structure of accidental design.

Flowing so fast, your lovesick blood,
as it ferries mixed emotions of violet and red,
as it so longs to be more than life-giving mud.
Staining the walls, a tapestry so vivid and full
of the images you've forgotten and pushed away,
because you are yet to learn what it is to pull.

Fidgeting and shuffling.
The nerves electrified
-Thunderous and yet
all too calm for one so weak.
A storm weathered too easily.
Perhaps
it is understanding
of what is never understood?
Storming down the temple,
shattering these bloodstained walls.
A vandal
-A vandal of your panic.

Sighing from your restless gates,
leaving the halls through a cracked and hoarse archway,
the result of a collision of such fates.
An impact of this magnitude,
obliterating the impersonal, becoming the impossible,
forever defining an eternity of solitude.

Solitude, such volume.
So LOUD
-Such intolerable silence
as it breaks itself under a
strain
self perpetuating and
So LOUD.
Carrying such violence,
concealing such rage.

Though strolling still through a place so still,
embracing the serene as all of your nothing,
embracing it as the entirety of your will.
Mindful and willing in that serenity,
an island of your single relentless thought,
standing unchanged as a symbol of longevity.

Forever defined
as a portrait in ash and dirt
that dissipates in the wind,
exits through a chosen lack of choice,
forever defined
by this solemn inner voice.
A deeply vague one, open to so much interpretation it's almost funny.
